A registered domain name receives "pending quarantine" status when Arnes has, accordingly to The General Terms, removed its DNS pointer from the top level .si server (the home page and email address under that domain name will not work). The domain name is not yet available for registration by any other applicant. However some transactions are allowed during the 30 days period of "pending quarantine" status:
- domain name renewal
- domain name transfer to a new domain holder
- domain name transfer to a new registrar
Only renewal terminates the "pending quarantine" status and returns it to status "registered". However when a domain name stays in "pending quarantine" status for 30 days, Arnes in the end deletes it from the .si domain name database and it is free to be registered by any entitled entity.
